Kristin Shepherd, M.D. F.A.A.P.
Dr. Kristin Shepherd joined Great Destinations Pediatrics in 2002. She studied at the University of Illinois for her undergraduate degree. After completing school in 1995, she moved on to the Northwestern University Medical School in Phoenix, Arizona where she graduated in 1999. Dr. Shepherd completed her residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in 2002 and became board certified to practice and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (F.A.A.P.).
Dr. Shepherd moved to Arizona from Illinois to complete her residency training seven years ago, and also met her husband here. Through the marriage she acquired four stepsons, and as she likes to joke, it was “Five for the price of one”. She also has three children of her own, two boys and a girl. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and traveling to scenic places. Running is another activity she enjoys, as she ran in the Chicago Marathon when she was in medical school and ran half a marathon with Dr. Prentice in Phoenix. A lot of her free time though is spent with her family at various football and basketball games.
She has been with Great Destinations since 2002.
